Ultra-evaporated biological cube-shaped filtration medium with excellent performance
The use of “NanoIntelex” technology to create an improved large-area material, enabling the colonization of beneficial nitrifying bacteria that affect the fast and effective oxidation of ammonia to nitrite and nitrate.
The best possible ratio of colonization area size to volume of synthetic biological filtration medium.
Higher efficiency compared to conventional media – lower surface requirements necessary for equivalent nitrification processes.
It is perfect for quickly reducing the concentration of ammonia and nitrite in even the most concentrated aquarium system.
Can be used in conjunction with Xport NO3 Cubes and Xport PO4 products
Instructions for use
Prior to using Xport BIO Cubes, mechanical pre-filtration should be used to remove undissolved organic impurities from water, this will significantly increase the efficiency of the entire filtration process.
Rinse the Xport-BIO cubes in purified water or fresh water with a low solute content. Then place them in a clean container and fill with aquarium water from the target tank. Pour the Xport Bio Cubes cubes contained in the container with MicroBacter 7 in proportions of 20 ml for each 150 g of filter medium. Stir your hand and leave the bath prepared in this way for 24 hours at room temperature. Take the Xport Bio Cubes from the container and pour the water into the aquarium. Then place them in a canister filter, filter media reactor or a filter bag filter mesh with an efficiency of 800 μm.
Recommended flow rate: 1-3 times the total volume of water in the tank per hour.
Do not use in fluidization filters. Once or twice a month, remove about 1/3 of the total number of Xport Bio Cubes and rinse in a container with aquarium water from the water change. Then put the filter media back in place. Use 1 ml of MicroBacter7 preparation for approx. 76 l of water in the aquarium in a place with high water flow.
Xport Bio Cubes cubes are not a chemical filtration medium – they must be vaccinated with appropriate bacteria to start nitrification processes. Simply placing the Xport Bio Cubes in an existing aquarium will allow you to colonize the filter media with the appropriate bacterial strains over time.
